Give To Game
"Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world, indeed it's the only thing that has." -- Margaret Mead
As a parent I hear this phrase several times a day, "Mommy, I am hungry". Thankfully I am able to provide food for that request every time. Today, all across Central Texas, children are saying that same phrase to their parents some of which are unable to provide the food that their growing children need. A recent study found that 1 in 4 children in Central Texas are going hungry. That is why we do this event. I think of those children and those parents through the whole process of planning and executing this event. When it gets hard and we face challenges and we want to throw in the towel, I think of those children. This weekend as you play games with friends, family or complete strangers remember the reason why we are all gathering together, to lend a hand to families and individuals in need. While it may not seem like our little event will have a big impact remember that every dollar raised can pay for 5 meals! For the individuals and families that will benefit from this event the impact is great. Join us in making a difference in Central Texas by playing hard and giving generously!

Spotlight on Donors: Whose Turn Is It?
Give to Game 2013 Donation |
If you get a chance, you should definitely stop by their store. Their games range from kids games to advanced strategy to warhammer and everything in between. According to their website they want to provide the community with an accessible gaming environment--especially for families. They have open gaming tables every night (even on event nights). They also say that they are willing to stay open later to let you finish a game. Also, they do birthday parties for little and big gamers alike.

The night of April 19th will be reserved gaming for our volunteers and VIP donors only. After set up all volunteers and donors will be allowed several hours of open gaming as well as getting first dibs on door prizes.
Here is how you can participate in the extra night of gaming:
